Plan Your Trip
Getting to the fair.
Park free and shuttle in, hop a local bus, or park downtown — every way to reach the 2026 Ann Arbor Art Fair, July 16–18 in downtown Ann Arbor.
Art Fair shuttle
Dedicated Art Fair shuttles run from two free park & ride lots straight to downtown, operated by National Trails for the Art Fair — all three days of the fair. Park your car, buy a pass, and step off at the fair.
- Free parking at both shuttle lots.
- Round-trip passes are $9 per person and good all day — kids 5 & under ride free. Pay with cash, card, or Venmo.
- Shuttles run every 10–15 minutes: Thursday–Friday 9am–10pm, Saturday 9am–9pm. Pass sales end at 8pm, so buy yours before then.
- Coaches are wheelchair accessible and air-conditioned. Service animals welcome; pets are not allowed.
TheRide local buses
TheRide (Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority) runs its regular routes all through fair week, with downtown detours around the closed streets. Park free at a park & ride lot and ride to the Central Campus Transit Center next to the fair — just check the day first: most park & ride routes run weekdays only.
- Free parking at all TheRide park & ride lots.
- $1.50 per one-way trip, $3 for a day pass. Kids 5 & under ride free.
- Going on Saturday? Only Route 23 (Green Road lot) runs on weekends — the other park & ride routes are weekday-only. Bonus: show an Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti District Library card and ride free on summer weekends, including the fair's Saturday.
- Blake Transit Center is temporarily closed for construction. Downtown, buses board on 5th Ave between Huron & Liberty and on Washington St between 5th Ave & Division.
Central Campus Transit Center
The CCTC sits right next to the fair at 1109 Geddes Ave, near Fletcher and N. University. Any of these TheRide routes stop there — step off and you have arrived. All but Route 23 run weekdays only; plan your trip at TheRide.org.
Downtown parking structures & lots
These city and DDA facilities are all within walking distance of the fair. Standard fair rates: $20 per day, $10 after 5pm. Fourth Ave construction may close some entrances this summer — check a2dda.org for real-time availability.
